Features

When your stationary job requires electric power, Vermeer can work with you to provide the equipment and expertise you need. The HG6000E Horizontal Biomass Grinder is powered by two electric motors that provide a combined power of 522 kW to the grinder. The HG6000E has the option of configuring a soft start or a VFD start panel, and features typical of Vermeer products (such as a duplex drum design and/or an optional cutter roll) for flexible operation and many features required for production processing Function.

Two electric motors

The HG6000E is powered by two electric motors providing a combined 447 kW of power to the grinder. A separate 44.7 kW electric motor powers the hydraulic circuit’s pumps, while a second 1.5 kW electric motor cools the hydraulic system.

Series II Duplex Drum System

Increased Cutting Performance – With the patented Series II Duplex Drum system, both the milling hammer and the milling head can be used on both ends, which not only helps reduce routine maintenance time, but also nearly doubles wear life.

Special Cutter Roller

The HG6000E offers greater flexibility and features a dedicated cutter roll that can be adjusted for product sizes ranging from 3.2 mm to 38.1 mm.

Open end wide feed table

Patented SmartGrind system and down pressure of hydraulic feed rollers maximize feed rate and productivity. The open-end wide feeding platform design makes it convenient and efficient to feed materials from the side of the machine.

Parabolic deflector (TOD)

The TOD is strategically placed to reduce the amount of debris thrown, shorten the throw distance and reduce disturbance when loading extra-long material.
